The Center for Culture and Sandplay: Sandplay Voices Network

The following three new online platforms are a part of the growing academic component for the Center for Culture and Sandplay.

The new platforms will provide you with opportunities to:

Network with colleagues and exchange professional information
Engage in the mini lectures related to sand therapy
Present cases and pose questions to your colleagues
Share community resources and insights on case presentations from your colleagues
Participate in our guest lecture series
See the sand scenes from your group or workshop and obtain your own photos
Contribute to the archives of myths, symbols, historic and cultural knowledge that help us amplify the rich layers of sand scenes
Develop new ways to apply theory and process from the workshops and groups

I. The Sandplayvoices Network Yahoo Group

A space for casual interaction among those interested in sand therapy.

Our group home page will include pertinent links, databases, training information, and a continually updated calendar of events.

Purpose:

To email colleagues who have signed onto the group
To find and share links and information
To stay up-to-date on training opportunities
To find photos from previous workshops

Who can use the platform? Any professional or student who signs up for the group.

Go to above web link and sign onto Yahoo. (Those who do not have a free Yahoo account will need to create one. You may include very limited personal information in your account and maintain privacy by electing not to make your information publicly available.)

II. The Sandplayvoices Lecture and Case Study Platform

A space for learning more about sandplay and sand tray therapy from Dr. Preston-Dillon and guest lecturers.

Purpose:

Reading and commenting on professional articles and lectures in sand therapy
Participating in discussions about theory, techniques and process

Who can use the platform? Open to the public

Scroll through the posts to read,
or click on one of the side menu links that take you to recent posts or into the archives of previous comments. This blog is archived monthly.

To comment:

click on "# comments" link at the bottom of each post,
Type your comment in the blank box,
Then choose "other" to leave your name and/or website address.
You may leave only a first name if you wish.
When finished, click on "publish your comment."

III. The Sandplayvoices Professional Forum

A space for sharing information in an open online environment.

Purpose

To talk amongst colleagues globally and share info with other sandplay enthusiasts
To ask general questions about sandplay issues
To leave suggestions for Network managers
To post photos for discussion

Who can use the platform? Anyone with a password to the forum. Permission comes from the Network manager.
